The picturesque coastline and five islands of Lake Pühajärv make it the biggest and most beautiful lake in the Otepää region.

Otepää is a small town set in the hills of south Estonia. It is the most well-known winter sports centre in the Baltics and the Winter Capital of Estonia.

In wintertime Otepää is a winter sports paradise for skiers, snowmobile riders and for anyone who enjoys the snow: there are slalom slopes equipped with elevators and lots of cross-country tracks.

Otepää is an ideal location for sports, hiking, swimming, fishing, skiing, skating and snowboarding. It’s a perfect holiday spot for families and young people who are interested in an active holiday.

General rules of Pühajärve SwimRun Baltic Challenge 2018

Important information

  • the organizer reserves the right to make organizational changes on the day of the competition
  • the organizer reserves the right to make changes in the competition instructions and in the race course
  • all participants confirm with their signature (in the case of minors the signature of a parent or an adult accompanying the minor) that they have read the competition instructions and that their state of health enables them to participate in the event. The participant is personally responsible for the consequences of their actions and their inaction during the entire event. The participant participates in the event of their own free will and acknowledging all dangers, and will not turn any damages claims for any direct or indirect damages caused by participation in the event against the organizers.
  • three best competitors of all age groups and three most successful teams are rewarded in the competition
  • all winners are Estonian masters of SwimRun 2018
  • the competition results are disclosed at the competition site, and on the web page of Pühajärve SwimRun Baltic Challenge within the working day following the event
  • in the swimming distances, it is obligatory to wear the swimming cap provided by the organizer; if this requirement is ignored, the organizers have the right to deny the competitor in question access to the starting area
  • timing chips are provided by race organizers and must be returned to them after the race. If the chip is lost, the competitor must pay for it (60 euros)
